Check out the new logo of “Maid to Clean,” via friend and great progressive Travis Moore.
John’s take: it’s not the worst thing in the world, but even if you assume the best, it’s somewhat hilariously awkward. Women are made to clean, right? Ha! Insert unfortunate gender role comment here.
For all we know, this could just be an unintentional slip-up, or a reading that didn’t appear obvious to the people approving the logo—commenters who support the logo view it as an homage from a woman-owned business. Real talk, though: it seems unfortunate to me.
