New rule for 2012: No more ad campaigns and public service announcements targeted at women to teach them how to avoid rape.
Zerlina Maxwell, of Loop21.com, from an article imploring us all to stop telling women how not to get raped. Blaming the victim is more than not helpful (not to mention sexist), it’s hurting our ability to eliminate rape and sexual assault (via Nicole Varma).
