Women do ask...they just don't get as much in return.

Here’s some new research revealing very different outcomes for women than men as part of job negotiations. Personally, I think the idea of blaming women for this disparity is absurd in the first place (“women should ask more!” is a wrong and stupid way to frame the reality that “women must ask more to get the same result”), this just shows how far we have to go.

It also calls for all of us to be introspective, as colleagues, managers, friends. How are we sexist in our day-to-day lives? How do we react to women differently? What privileges (if any) do I have? What’s my full perspective on this?
